Priorities, or a lack thereof
The world is still dealing with the trappings of genocide, strife, and civil wars are threatening to run rampant in some corners of the world.
And yet, some people can still find the time to try and ban gay marriages.
There are many causes to champion in the world. I suppose trying to save souls is good for some, but let's try saving some lives first. Unless, of course, being altruistic is "unnatural," and should be considered a sin against God. In which case, by all means, let your fellow man rot while you debate the finer points of skeleton keys to get into heaven.

'lack thereof'
i try not to torture myself with wondering where the priorities in the world are. i can't stop the madness so i try to do things close to home, where i can see the difference with my own eyes.
i recently saw a refugee family from Sudan get a new home here from Habitat for Humanity ~ the glowing smiles on their faces, the gratitude, the number of people showing up to lend a hand, a family back on their feet after living through torture. look around you and you will find that there is still a heart beating in this world...
